also for 21 years member of the Lerado school board township
trustee for 3 terms. Justice of the peace for 3 years and a member of
Company 3 153rd. O.V.I. was in the skirmish at Hancock Station, VA.
(He was a Yankee). A life long Republican his first vote was for
Abraham Lincoln.
 
His wife Esther Granger born Oct. 14,1834 near Lerado, Ohio.
Her father from New York to Ohio and mother Catherine A. Glenn from
New, Jersey. They had 6 sons 2 daughters:
