Hattie Marie Ellis at Age 13

Hattie Marie Ellis was born on November 12, 1877 at  Batavia, Clermont County, Ohio and died on March 28, 1961 at Mt. Vernon, Jefferson County, Illinois.  She is buried in Oakwood Cemetery, in Mount Vernon, Illinios. She was the daughter of Henry L. and Zella May (Applegate) Ellis. On 25 February 1896, she was married to Elmer Frances (Fred) Strattan in Mt Vernon, Illinois.  Fred  was born 04 November 1873 and  died 11 October 1945 at Summersville, Illinois and is buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Mt Vernon, Illinois. Fred Strattan was the son of Benjamin Clark Strattan and Adelia Gregg.  Benjamin was born  in Wilmington, Clinton County, Ohio on 23 April 1841 and  died 5 September 1923 at Mt Vernon, Jefferson County, Illinois.  Adelia was born  24 April 1843, at West Liberty, Knox County, Iowa and died 25 April 1928 at Mt. Vernon, Illinois.  Both are buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Mt. Vernon.
